Use the "BOOK NOW" link at the top of the website. Ginger is accepting new clients; use the contact button to book with Annie by referral.

Can I schedule routine appointments as an existing client?

Yes! Since the schedule is available about two months ahead, we always recommend scheduling your next appointment when you are at the studio for your current appointment.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

We require a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule to avoid the $50 late cancellation fee for any type of appointment. We also hold a policy in the case of cancelling under 2 hours to the start of your appointment time and/or not showing for your appointment. In this case, you will be charged in FULL for the total of your session.

What if I don't see an appointment time that works?

We first advise that you go ahead and schedule something for the future, even if it's farther out than you'd prefer. Secondly, please use the "CONTACT" page to request a specific day or time. We will add you to a cancellation list for the requested slot.

**There is no guarantee the requested day or time will become available.

Are tips required?

Tipping is not required but is always appreciated within a service industry.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes! If you'd like to purchase a gift certificate, use the "BOOK NOW" link and select "Gift Certificates." Tips are included in the total price for gift certificates of every session duration.

I've never had a massage before. What should I expect?

We get quite a few first-timers, and your comfort and privacy is our number one priority. For therapeutic, lymphatic drainage, and prenatal massage sessions, you can expect a warm table with fresh sheets (and a blanket if you'd like), and a tranquil atmosphere. You will be asked some questions about your client intake form that you filled out upon booking. We will go over the flow of the session and how we'll keep you properly covered the entire time, whether you choose to remove all clothing or not. We will also check in with you during session to make sure the pressure is just right.

For Thai yoga massage sessions, you will be greeted with an open room and the Thai floor mat spread out. Clients should wear or bring a set of a clothes they wear for working out or doing a yoga class.

Am I allowed to talk, or do I need to be quiet during session?

You are absolutely allowed to talk and carry conversation. A general is to let YOU lead the session. If you'd like to chat, chat away. Otherwise, we will do our work while you float in the contents of your own mind.

I'm pregnant! Can I still come see you?

Yes! With some additional questions and precautions to make sure you and your baby are well taken care of, prenatal massage is an excellent method of caring for your changing body. Book under "prenatal therapeutic massage" when you schedule, and we will know ahead of time how to prepare the room for your session.

What is gua sha?

Gua sha is a traditional Chinese treatment method using a thin, smooth stone or metal tool to stimulate blood flow in the body's superficial tissues. It's especially helpful in providing immediate changes in mobility of chronically tight tissue. Oil is applied to the area being worked, and the tool is scraped along major muscle groups in short or long strokes. We can use this technique on a smaller scale within regular therapeutic massages, but we also offer gua sha as the primary modality in full body gua sha sessions. I recommend this type of session for athletes.

** Gua sha will leave temporary and harmless red markings or splotches where used on some areas of the skin. This redness usually disappears within one to two days, and some areas may bruise post-session. Gua sha is NOT recommended for those with clotting disorders or those who are taking blood thinners.

What is the lymphatic system, and how can massage help?

The lymphatic system is the drainage system of the body. It’s comprised of lymph nodes throughout the body and pathways through which fluid travels and accumulates. Lymphatic massage focuses on moving stagnant fluid through drainage pathways for the purpose of increased blood flow to chronic pain areas. Most people describe a newfound sense of lightness and clarity post-session. Symptoms of a stagnant or blocked lymphatic system include swelling, bloating, and sluggishness. People experiencing stress in the form of injuries or surgeries, chronic illness, or major emotional traumas can greatly benefit from lymphatic drainage sessions.

Ginger’s style of lymphatic work starts by clearing the major lymph pathway around the collar bone and chest, moving towards the abdomen with a gentle tapping, jostling, or constant pressure. Depending on how the client responds, she will move into deeper pressures as needed.

What is Thai massage?

Thai massage is a form of bodywork similar to assisted stretching incorporating yoga-based poses. The practitioner uses a cushioned mat on the floor as the workspace and will combine compressions, stretching and lengthening, spinal decompression, twisting, and traditional massage to invite more space throughout the body. Clients can expect to leave the mat feeling open, mobile, and refreshed.

Clients should wear or bring a set of a clothes they wear for working out or doing a yoga class.

Can I request CBD oil for my session?

Yes! We now offer 500mg CBD oil as a $20 add-on for your session. Simply check the box next to "CBD Oil" in the add-ons section when you book. You'll get to take the 2 oz. bottle and remaining product home with you after session!

How do I know what kind of massage is best for me?

Whether you're planning to relax and have more of a "spa" type experience or want deeper bodywork to improve sports-based performance, book a therapeutic massage session and describe your intention on the client intake form when you book.

Add on 30 minutes of Thai yoga massage for a full body stretch session without having to lift a finger. You can also book a full hour of this session type.

If you're feeling stiff, bloated, and sluggish, book a lymphatic drainage session to move stagnant fluid from the inside out.

Are masks required?

Masks are not required but are welcome for personal comfort. Please indicate on your client intake form if you would prefer your massage therapist wear a mask during session.
